STATUS Concept

A conceptual housing project for a family of 4 located in a residential district in Florida. The house was designed as a living space directly connected to the exterior environment. The corner lot adjacent to a public park informed the location of the house on the site, with the interior spaces seeming to flow directly into the park. Overhangs and shading devices provide protection from the hot summer sun, while operable windows on all sides allow for natural ventilation.

The program included a compact living and kitchen space for the family with bedrooms on the second level. A semi detached structure houses an office and qi gong studio with an accessory apartment above.
